I don't understand why the young of almost every species are cute to humans. What is the evolutionary advantage in that? Well I can see it is an advantage to hedgehogs and other mammals that we think their young are cute.
They're probably supposed to be cute to adults of their own species. It's just a bonus that we humans think so too. Except for baby alligators. I don't find them cute at all.
I'm glad this little guy isn't near me as I'd be tempted to hug him and rub him against my face. As that's what I do with anything I find adorable.
