I don't recall seeing the movie but I read the book years ago, it was great.Hang in there buddy.
So I went to Wikipedia to see what they had to say about Garp. And they didn't tell you the whole story. Where he was reincarnated and screwing his daughter and his wife shot him again. Something like that, it's been years since I read the book but it was very interesting.
