also of crashing, losing, dying, not winning......
just like life it`s self.
when the fear fades then anything is possible.
that`s what seperates the winners from those who merely show up.
i have to say this now; winning is something that one is driven to do. no amount of pressure or coaching or "right words" will make a winner out of someone who doesn`t desire to win with every ounce of thier being.
so burning out isn`t a fear so much as part of the road to victory.
well bill, i`m not going to debate the obvious with you because that would be pretty childish, but i will say that winning as the winner knows, is nothing to do with what happens next.
it is the winning.
only a non-winner or a loser would see the winning as a means toward another end.
but is there a fear of burning oneself out?
ReplyDeleteabsolutely.

and further, winning has become politically incorrect, so i can hear the sucking of liberal teeth when reading such descriptions....
ReplyDeleteso be it.
Life isn't a race and about winning and having the most, even though a lot of monkeys see it that way.
ReplyDeleteSo I have this picture of a lot of naked ladies biking. It's a much more interesting picture than yours. :-)
interesting bill.....you hallucinated winning with having the most.
ReplyDeletedid you meant to associate those things, or was that an unconscious statement?
because winning is purely that.....being first.
having things is consumerism, which is a media driven mania.
like political correctness, which is another form of censorship.
"interesting bill.....you hallucinated winning with having the most."
ReplyDeleteI did not, you hallucinated that.

like learning to play guitar to get chicks.....
the winner dreams of nothing else but victory.
I'm happy to win. Does not happen often but I do enjoy it.
ReplyDeletewinning begins with a decision.........
ReplyDeleteand knowing that makes the winning that much more enjoyable.
