ok, crate and barrel. in canada have homesense. pre-done art for the hair-and-nails crowd.
don't know how i missed this so i'm late but just wanted to say i love this. it's funny...i spend idk how much on oil paints to make not-good-at-all paintings if you can call them that, and you make this out of stain and varnish. heh
labcat, i`m glad you like it. i have no classical training in media so i guess i`m free to make things up as i go along........i find that taking chances with different types of pigment and finishes brings out little suprises like the piece in question here.i did another one recently with rust paint on primed canvas that i like the effect of, but the draftsmanship is lacking something.
