  5. don't know how i missed this so i'm late but just wanted to say i love this. it's funny...i spend idk how much on oil paints to make not-good-at-all paintings if you can call them that, and you make this out of stain and varnish. heh

  6. labcat, i`m glad you like it. i have no classical training in media so i guess i`m free to make things up as i go along....

    ....i find that taking chances with different types of pigment and finishes brings out little suprises like the piece in question here.

    i did another one recently with rust paint on primed canvas that i like the effect of, but the draftsmanship is lacking something.
