my daughter said, "(domestic) cats are the only animals that kill for no reason." My response was, "could that be to impress their masters?"
Impression proves to be self-judging . . to capture good and bad definitions instead of just processing for better or worse to improve response abilities. Danger is sensational as well as judge-mental.
well, kitties have a special connection with humans. one which i find endearing...even thought they will bring me dead woodland creatures occasionally.
Sassafras, my daughters cat, started training on lizards, if they still have their tails we call them speedy! She brings home birds, mice, moles & who knows what's next. Her mentor, old Ginger, saved me from a rattlesnake. The open space next to my house has mountain lion sightings and everybody has heard coyotes.
it`s nice to have that connection with nature.
i lived for 15 years on the edge of the niagara escarpment and recently moved south to the lake.
as the spring warms the air and the snow melts from the bike paths i ride with my new friend tomoko along the lake ontario shoreline.
