question.

apparently scientists themselves admit they know that this process in unstoppable.........so why the agitation to raise taxes to "stop" global warming?

Because it leads to simpler living which is good in itself. Less driving, less ugly consumerism, less alienation from our roots etc etc.

Global warming is something to save us, whether or not it's a causal consequence of what it is trying to save us from.

ah yes, the simpler life....

i do agree that things would be easier if we all consumed less, in some ways, but raising taxes just gives bureaucrats more of our money so that we have to work more to exist.

and i ride a bike.

for me the issue of cars is one of an industrial process with us as one part...a facilitator...so that the car can persist.
