something just struck me....

http://www.safecarguide.com/exp/statistics/statistics.htm

global statistics for automobile fatalities indicate that there is a substantial risk of being injured or killed (or injured and killed) by a car.

and nobody is suggesting we don`t visit places due to this substantial risk.

and cigarettes are topping people substantially also.

but we still visit france and greece.

but canada and mexico are no fly zones because of a few cases of fatal infection.

something odd is going on here....

yes, there most certainly is.

We like cars and food, so we don't want to hear bad things about them. Instead, let's focus on germs and drugs since declaring war on them is big business.

if you ever wanted to get rid of a troublemaker one way might be to say he/she had a virulent flu - taking him off for treatment wouldnt upset anybody. if you ever wanted to make a pile of money with your tamiflu stocks you could hype up the pandemic and you had just the cabinet to do it. if you ever wanted an excuse to expand your federal control one way to do it might be a pandemic ...and so on.

Declaring Canada and Mexico a no-fly zone...is precautionary...I hope this get subsided soon otherwise both canada and mexico will face the brunts of economic fallout...

k9...macciavelli would have approved wholeheartedly.

daydreamer...since my girlfriend`s daughter was abducted and robbed in romania last week i`m a little sensitive to selective "precautionary" action.

romania isn`t really "europe" in the sense of traditional tourism and sight-seeing. it`s more like a third world country where one has to have one`s wits about you at all times....and not be a pretty 18 year old girl with too much luggage and no fear.

well, until recently.

and the government waking up?

they are gypsies too.
