now that i`m re-visiting some of my favorite artists....here`s a motherwell. not a lot to do with crop circles...unless you are talking about the one`s made by people.

speaking of art.

speaking of art, i can understand how a man, or a group, would want to make large images.

in the fields of england and elsewhere we have seen people striving to express themselves in fields of cereal.

these images are dramatic and awe-inspiring in thier size and structure.

jackson pollock would have been impressed.

not photoshop.

and apparently the bloke claiming to have made it suffers from a lack of credibility also/

what critics and debunkers don`t address regarding crop circles is the variety of ways that the crops are laid down onto the surface of the field where it grows.


the debunker`s view is that men with planks enter the field and press the crops down with planks or rolling bars following pre-laid strings and posts. while this certainly accounts for many images left in the crops, it in no way explains some of the ways that the crops in the link above are formed.

planks cannot overlay and twist and braid the stalks of the crops....in fact, in fact the mind struggles to figure how any force on earth could have formed such an  intricate effect.

hoaxers, pranksters and promoters certainly formed many of the images catalogued and readily available via the web, but not this one.

i`m not sure whether these two could have made the circle pictured below. a couple of sixty year-olds with planks would have been well pushed to make that monster. but anything is possible, except for one thing.

they had both been dead for years before the image appeared.

my point.....

is that, this pattern is made up of 409 individual cirlces stretching across 780 feet of a farmer`s field.

assuming that a hoaxer would have free access to this site for the full period of darkness without interruption, he would have, at best, 8 hours of darkness.

within this timeframe he and his assistants, if he had them, would have to stamp out 409 circles.

(sorry,  i just laughed then.)

i divided 8 into 409 and got 51.1

this means that he and his agents would have had to be making 51.1 circles in an hour.

around one each minute or so.

and i can`t say with certainty that his feat is impossible, but fairly improbable in the scope of human behaviour.

so let`s ask a simple question.

why would a human or humans do such a thing?

in the cases that we know whereby humans have come forward to say they did hoax circles, they said they did them for a variety of reasons.

1) a practical joke.

2) to prove that humans are making them.

3) to dis-prove an unexplained phenominological reason for the formation of these circles, for whatever private or group agenda they may subscribe to. (mostly religious or scientific)

in all of these instances the hoaxer eventually comes forward to lay claim to the circle.

when we look at the majority of the clean, clearly machine laid-out images that are documented on a variety of sites at our fingertips, we find that nobody is coming forward to claim to have made them.

why?

because they would have to prove how they did it...

crop circles.

over the years i have been fascinated, frustrated and now mostly disappointed by ufo reports, documentaries and interviews.

i have mostly lost interest in the field, but when it comes to crop circles my fascination persists unabated.

now, i`m not correlating ufos and crop circles in any way. i pesonally think the crop circle is a natural phenomena that has eluded detection, and not something sinsiter or dangerous to humanity.

what to blog today......

sometimes it gets to be more effort than it`s worth to read some blogs and post comments.

there is a blog i visit that touches on some subjects i`m interested in such as psychology, psychotherapy and sociology and brings some interesting perspectives...but, one or two of the commentors seem more interested in bating a person personally than adding value.

and that gets irritating when one wants to preserve a middle position and flow with the conversation.

do you know what i mean?

and funnily enough the host rarely comments.

and many of the commentors have no blog other than a minimal profile page, which leads me to think that possibly, and i will say possibly, the site is seeded by an agent of the host...or quite possibly by herself.
