selfish.

in the sixties a socialist american leader told people to ask not what government(the state) could do for them, but what they could do for government.

and so the politically correct society was born.

now we are busy destroying our lives and society for the welfare of a legal fiction..........oh yeah, and the planet.

the planet has been here for billions of years, through global warmings and freezings that had nothing to do with hairless bipeds and thier detritus.

algore is a used car salesman.

The generation of today, believes that they're the first generation of *anything* of importance. That's why this ridiculous notion of global warming is taking off like a bat out of the GOP's hell.

I mean seriously. We're not that important when you consider past & future generations. How ridiculous our super-ego's can be. Feel free to correct my psychological mistakes Doc. :)

I'm delighted to see that BBC is taking you on vigorously alistair, for I cannot be bothered to respond to your rants though I do enjoy their ineffective petulance. Seems to me it's a hormonal thing, or a projection of other frustrations.

It's a long time since I heard "socialist" used as a term of abuse. Here in UK, we look back to it with fond nostalgia, even those of us on the other political side.

That's the legacy of that soon to retire Tony Blair, compared to whom a used-car salesman is a useful and upright member of society.

yves, pendulums do swing......

nice to hear from you after so long.

barista, we are absolutely unimportant in the big picture, but the joy and abundance is a pleasure to experience.

yves, regarding ineffective petulance and projections.....one should first look long and hard in the mirror.

and i`m far too big to be put across your intellectual knee.....

if you wish discourse maybe you should see your stance as a position rather than law.

my position regarding politics is that it`s a game played for the singular edification of politicians.

voters and taxpayers are merely pawns in that game.
