toxic?

toxic.

a word i`ve heard entirely too much of lately.

it is too easy and typical of modern throw-away society to discard something with a facile comment.

toxic.

what about patience and understanding and hope and belief in love?

toxic?

everyone seems to know something about this toxic state and how to avoid it.

but they are unable to look me in the eye when i ask them about love.

have we reached a point where society believes love it`s self is toxic?

i somehow get the sense that people would prefer to remain in some holding pattern of unattachment to feelings, just in case......

......sort of what she is being accused of b some.

YOU NEED ALL THE INGREDIENTS IN A RECEIPE TO "MAKE LOVE"
ADD A FEW EXTRA INGREDIENTS AND YOU MAY MAKE "TAINTED LOVE"
DON'T BOTHER WITH THE RECEIPE AND SAY "SCREW IT"
TAKE YOUR PICK

Life does have it's toxic elements, and we don't always know what we are getting ourselves into until we stick our fingers in. I don't know about you but once my fingers get bit I'm not sticking them back into the fire.

She is a predator, whether she knows it or not, and you`ve got drawn into her game so entirely that you are in danger of destruction. She has done this before and it has cost her, but she is unable to control whatever urge lies beneath the games she plays.
Danger. More now than ever.

I would say that some things are best described by the word "toxic" (toxins, for example, or anything metaphorically similar). But like all good media/pop psychology buzzwords it's used to dismiss a lot of what's going on. It simplifies things. But it usually leads to never correcting the problem.

Then again, if we don't correct the problem, we can always blame the individual, right?
