winning part 6.

what so you see when you think about winning?

i see the glory of the team getting our hands on the the trophy and holding it up as high as we can.

i know when we arrive tomorrow morning the cup will be there on the table at center awaiting the winners, and i see us being that.

now.

with certainty.

I decided not to come, but did think of you playing. Hope you won and if you didn't, than i hope you had fun anyways.

You are so full of crap. :-)

The only thing you need to win is another day to breath and be alive.

Winning may simply mean that you cheated. Competitive sports is just silly games that are not making the world a better place.

(1) In a biography of Jim Thorpe, I read that he did almost all of his training through visualization. The technique obviously works, but I think some people are more wedded to tradition.

(2) I followed this series on winning. I have a different view of competition than you do, it would seem. Nevertheless, I hope that by the time you read this, you and your teammates will have been able to feel that trophy with your own hands.

chrissy, it was a struggle unfortunately........we lost 3-0 but it was a glorious day for sport and we all enjoyed the experience, the competition and the good will of the other team in victory.

bill, it has never been my ambition to make the world a better place. it is perfect as it is.

you are right about what we need to live though.

winning is about desire.

x, there are many different types of competition.

the function of visualisation is to stimulate mirror neurons to familiarise one`s self with a task without the involvement of the physical body.

visualisation is a physical entrainment of the neural pathways of the brain that has been proven to be effective in improving athletic skills.

but you are right in that for some old habits die hard and some are hesitant to try "voodoo" stuff.

i personally tend to think the shamans are right.
