stability.

stability. the one commodity we all desire. we want steady stable rates of return on our investments, we want stable relationships, we want stable jobs, cars, government, etc.
but stablity means stopping. it means not changing, not moving, breathing, pumping, growing, experiencing, challenging, exploring, encountering, discovering, or anything else in life worth doing.
stability=death.
we are thermodynamic systems. we store energy and information and use these resourses to move and breathe in the world. we destroy ourselves in the process and magically rebuild as we go.
we are made of a million billion cells and we destroy 600 million of those each day we are alive. that`s 10 million a second.
whether we are careful or not.
every moment of our existance is on the edge of regeneration of destroyed matter within us. we are a miniature nuclear bomb going off steadily consuming calories to fuel our existance.
if this stops so do we.
our neurochemical makeup is a chain of chemical reactions, signals in a chain that move through our bodies giving us thrills and chills that we know as life.
when this stops so do we.
though we try so hard to stop the flow of energy through us for so many reasons, if we manage to stop the flow we die.
so why wrestle with it?
let it flow. take heart in the process and become eager to find out where it`s going to lead us...........with humour and a smile, knowing that we`ve never been this way before.
don`t try to stop it even for a moment though.....you know what will happen.

there is an expression, and i don`t know where it came from but i love it. it goes, "always ride the horse in the direction he`s going in".
if you pay attention you get to sense which way life wants to go and you can ride along too. it`s an incredible ride by the way.
