there is a lot of talk these days about the identity of the anti-christ. well, we are human after all and so we think in terms of the anti-christ or lucifer as a person. we think of christ this way too and historically the man probably existed as a rabbi 2000 years ago in jeruselem and caused enough problems for the romans that they tacked him to a cross like a common criminal. he was just a man though.
the concept of lucifer , the angel of light, comes from the underpinnings of what went before christianity. before christianity men worshipped many gods and spirits, meeting the needs of his daily life. there were gods for crops, for his family and for his future and he needed to pray to these gods to ensure his prosperity.
the element with the most effect on the lives of men in those times, as now is the sun. men worshipped the sun as a matter of simple efficiency. the sun gives and the sun taketh away. so make your relationship with the sun first and everything else falls in line.
it just makes sense.
jesus, the ressurected, died and was born again. he rose again. the sun comes up in the morning to warm the soil and nurture the crops. it`s that simple.
jesus and lucifer are the same thing in this sense. two sides of the same coin. religion has become industrialised as we have come in from the fields and we have forgotten that we need the sun still, just like those who prayed that the sun would rise in the morning.
to call this new age is patronising and protects a bureaucracy of bishops and cardinals who themselves worship the sun purely and efficiently to ensure the radiant beauty of his contenance.
there is no need for a building to sit in and pray when the sun is in the sky. it is above your head. no need to crowd thousands deep into the piazza to see the holy man in the window. the real god is in the sky. it always has been.
blaspemy? sure. from a bureacratic standpoint. will we burn in hell because of it? no idea.
do we want to grow tall and live our lives? be strong and heathy and be certain in our decisions? o.k., go ahead. the sun will come up in the morning until, for some reason it doesn`t and there`s not a thing we can do about it.
jesus didn`t die for your sins. he pissed the bureaucracy off by teaching hope and love in a time of an invading army of romans in judea 2000 years ago. the only sins we commit are personal and known. don`t do it again, and realise that we may just be alone but for the decisions we make with certainty in our lives.
and the knowledge that the sun will come up in the east in the morning, full of glory.
and don`t look into his eyes..................

There is a lot of talk regarding the antichrist and the return of Jesus Christ---agreed. But let me be honest, I am hesitant to jump on the bandwagon and guess when and how Jesus Christ will return, and what events will precede it. All I know is that Jesus Christ is going to return and gather his children to live in his kingdom, and that is enough to get the adrenaline pumping.
I recently read a book that was very intriguing about this subject. It was written in an allegorical fashion, and was captivating to the imagination.
The book is called "The fall of Lucifer", written by Wendy Alec.
The book opens with the three Angelic brothers, Lucifer, Michael and Gabriel, in heaven before the fall. Over the course of the book, the essence of the angels is developed. The controversy arises when God created man to be higher than the angels, in that we are created in the image of God. Lucifer was embittered to the point of rebellion.
The book works through various historical events and offers the perspective of an angel into the event. The novel develops the beauty of heaven and the grotesque quality of hell, the depths of evil, and the beauty of grace. It communicates these themes through beautiful imagery and an intriguing plot. The beautiful imagery would make for amazing scenery!
This is a fast read, 300 page novel that is a good spend of your holiday cash. I hope they make this book into a movie. It would be amazing.
wendy alec has a history of working in media.she wrote the brothers series as a screenplay originally, hence the visual sensuality.

her focus though is christian evangelism and saving the lost, more than developing a spiritual value system within people. jesus was a valid historical figure but the idea of lucifer, gabriel and michael are metaphysical constructs that are represented in bibical terms as being able to manifest themselves in material reality. to me that would be like saying that my feelings of dilike for someone is actually a person walking around, or that my love for existance is actually christ.there is enough stuff going on here in this world to get the adrenaline pumping without getting caught up in gamerules of christianity.
the good news is that what the jesus of the bible spoke of is entirely doable here. when you decide to start.
i think we are all after the same thing here, it`s only in the gamerules that we disagree.
Seth said (so odd to say he 'said' something, but moving on) that there are generally two kinds of guilt: natural guilt, in which we see we've done harm and regret it and hence determine never to do it again ('go forth and sin no more' ;-)) and unnatural guilt, in which we punish ourselves for a past act. The first is constructive and the second is destructive. Even a child could understand it.
How different our world would be if this principle were widely understood and practiced, eh? prisons? schools? marriages? imagine....
the destructive guilt is a tool that those who wish to control us implement by not helping us to distinguish the distinction that you made. they engender the crushing guilt and blame that manifests it`s self in the conflict that we experience. when we can`t open up our hearts and resonate with the background of loving energy in the universe because we don`t believe that we are "worthy" or that god doesn`t approve because we have fallen down on some minor gamerule of the religious bureaucracy, then it`s time to reject the bureaucracy it`s self and choose a process that will allow us to recognise the glory of creation and the simple bliss of being alive.....
