It doesn't need a helping hand but removal of a hindering hand. If we'd reject the commercial manipulation & government paternalism, both of which stupefy the people with their distribution of slug bait disguised as tasty morsels, then these co-operative slugs would rise up and assert their common humanity.
"Go to the slug, thou ant! Consider her ways and be wise." Proverbs 6:6, shamelessly amended.
